7 Disting 7 Flavors 7 Folk Songs
7 Differences, 7 Flavors, 7 Songs is a project by the Ertel Culture Initiative, developed within the scope of women's rights and supported by the European Union’s Sivil Düşün program. The project consists of interviews with seven women from Turkey’s seven geographical regions, focusing on their existence as women in their homelands and their cultural identities. Sharing their life stories along with their gastronomic and musical traditions, this interview series has been compiled into a two-volume book.

I began designing the project logo by researching Anatolian kilim (rug) symbols, inspired by the project’s emphasis on multiculturalism. At this point, the Elibelinde symbol was a fitting starting point, as it represents the fertility and strength of Anatolian women.
Thus, I brought together the three number sevens in the project title as a single Elibelinde figure and placed it within a baklava pattern.
For the logotype, I added a few touches to evoke the sense of “curves” often seen in kilim motifs.
